At the moment I discovered my sweetie Pie Wodan was bleeding, my mind went totally on a fast thinking mode. I examined her body, felt at her organs. Her fur was still shining. I do have some medical knowledge, but I'm not a veterinarian. A trip to the vet was necessary. Sorry for Wodan, as most other animals she is not a fan. When I got her travel basket she knew that meant trouble. But Wodan is such a brave cat, she didn't wanna go inside but knew she had to. She is so strong-bodied, a trooper!
In the car Wodan complained, she had been peeing and there was no way she could prevent her body to touch her own substancies. I felt sorry for her, but on the other hand I was happy she could still urinate. When a cat doesn't urinate for 24 hours she is deadly ill. The vet was very sweet, and wise in his knowledge about this wonderful cat. He joked about the name, and I told the story about how Wodan picked me to be her Unfurry Friend.
But we had to talk the medical side of the problem Wodan was facing. Wodan has a bladder problem, probably caused by stress. Because she delayed her toilet visitations, her bladder got irritated. 3 years ago Wodan faced a bladder infection. I'm happy her bladder is not blown out of proportions or worse that she has a clogged urine leader. Especially because of the bleeding I was worried for that.
I don't want Wodan to have a stressed life! What have I been doing wrong? Do I forget her with my busy life? I do remember one day I closed the door to her litter box, leaving her without toilet visitations all day. The poor sweetheart! The vet wanted us to wait until Monday. When the complaints aren't over Wodan needs to come back. I also need to think about a treatment with pheromones (stress reducing hormones). The last thing the vet said that cats are uncomprehendable. He really wanted some attention to all the problems Wodan is facing, like her throwing up. I kinda accepted it, because I love Wodan with all my heart and it has reduced a lot over the years. But I will go back with Wodan for a visit, to see how we can help her reduce her stress for a even better life...
PS: Since our visit to the vet --> very cute: cats are like children. Wodan asks me to come with her to her litter box. When I'm standing there she goes inside and gives me a tailhug after she has been doing a pee pee. Ofcourse her Unfurry Friend encourage Wodan to go inside and claps afterwards.

Wodan still needs a little help, and a lot of love. She will be getting a new visit to the nice and wise vet pretty soon, for some extra help with her problems. For now I spoiled her with love, cuddles and a new (needed) scratching post.

Hi Jadie,
I am so sorry to hear about your furried friend's problems. Hopefully she'll get better soon. Cats are very sensible. I know that from mine who is still suffering because I am away. 10 days from now I'll be back to pamper him - and perhaps my hubby as well, wink:)) All the best for you and Wodan
Thanks Tina! 10 days, that's pretty soon. I'm very happy for you, because I know you wanna go home. Yes, cats are very sensible. Wodan her problems are not over yet, but I try to give her all my love and attention.
We'll speak soon sweet Tina!
